We are excited to announce the Alpha Pre-Release Version 3 of GRIDNET OS, marking another significant stride towards creating a fully decentralized operating system that prioritizes connectivity, security, and user control. This version introduces enhancements and new features designed to streamline your experience and provide greater control over the system’s synchronization mechanisms.

Key Highlights:

  1. Enhanced Connectivity: Building on our ongoing efforts to ensure seamless user experiences, we have further improved network connectivity. This ensures more reliable access to GRIDNET OS services and a smoother interaction for all users.

  2. Upgrades to the UDT Sub-System: The UDT (UDP-based Data Transfer Protocol) sub-system, a crucial component for efficient data transmission across our decentralized network, has received further improvements. These enhancements aim to increase the robustness and reliability of data exchanges within GRIDNET OS.

  3. Enhanced Security for the net Utility: Security is paramount in decentralized systems. With this in mind, we have bolstered the security measures for the net utility, especially when accessed through the Decentralized User Interface (DUI) or SSH. This ensures that control over network settings remains secure and tamper-proof.

  4. Introduction of the net -info Command: Understanding and managing the state of your node’s synchronization mechanisms is now easier with the net -info command. This new feature provides detailed information about active synchronization sub-systems, allowing users to make informed decisions about their node’s operation.

  5. Enhanced Control over Synchronization Transport Layers: The net command now includes the capability to enable or disable entire synchronization transport layers (UDT/QUIC) and to specify which protocols should be used for synchronization purposes. This level of control allows users to tailor the synchronization process to their preferences and network conditions, optimizing performance and reliability.

Usage Enhancements:

  • Decentralized User Interface (DUI) Integration: The improvements and new features introduced in this version are fully integrated with GRIDNET OS’s Decentralized User Interface, providing a seamless and secure interface for managing these advanced capabilities.

Getting Started:
To take advantage of these enhancements, users are encouraged to explore the updated net utility commands and experiment with the customization options available for synchronization protocols. The combination of improved connectivity, enhanced security, and greater control over synchronization settings underscores our commitment to providing a robust and user-friendly decentralized operating system.

Feedback and Support:
As an Alpha Pre-Release, we rely on user feedback to continue refining GRIDNET OS. We encourage our community to share their experiences, suggestions, and any issues encountered while exploring these new features. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of decentralized computing with GRIDNET OS.

Looking Ahead:
The journey toward a fully decentralized operating system is filled with challenges and opportunities for innovation. With each pre-release, we move closer to realizing our vision for GRIDNET OS. Stay tuned for further updates

as we continue to expand the capabilities and reach of our platform.

Thank you for your support and contribution to the GRIDNET OS project. Together, we are paving the way for a new era of decentralized digital infrastructure.
